- We look at your usage. Your bills, when you use power, and what’s coming next, like a battery or an EV.
- Free site visit. We check your roof, shading and switchboard, and where the inverter will go.
- A clear quote. The right size for you, with the government rebate shown as its own line.
- Installed and connected. Usually in a day, by our own team. We handle the paperwork with SA Power Networks and set up your monitoring app.
The solar rebate, and what SA's export rules mean for you
The rebate. Under the federal Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme, most home solar systems earn certificates (STCs) that come straight off the price. The amount depends on system size, and it steps down each year until the scheme ends in 2030. You need an SAA-accredited installer to claim it, we are one, and we take it off your quote upfront.
Exports. In South Australia, SA Power Networks sets how much solar each home can send back to the grid. Most new systems use Flexible Exports, which allows up to 10kW per phase when the local network has room and less when it’s busy. We set it up for you.
Why that matters. Feed-in credits are worth much less than the power you buy, so most of the savings come from using your own solar. That’s why we design around your usage, and why we’ll often suggest a battery-ready inverter so adding a battery later is simple.
Feed-in tariffs are set by your electricity retailer and vary between plans. We’ll use your actual bills and tariff when we work out your savings.

How much will solar actually save me?
It depends on how much power you use, when you use it, your roof and your tariff. That’s why we start with your bills rather than a package. Send us a recent one and we’ll show you the numbers for your home.
What size system do I need?
The right size comes from your power bills, your roof, and what’s coming next, like an electric car, a battery or a heat pump hot water system. Bigger isn’t always better. An oversized system can cost more than it will ever pay back, so we size it to how you actually use power.
Which panels and inverters do you use?
We regularly install panels from Aiko and inverters and batteries from GoodWe, Sigenergy, Fronius, FoxESS, Tesla and BYD. We only recommend products we’d put on our own homes, and we’ll explain why we’ve chosen what’s in your quote.
Is my roof suitable for solar?
Most Adelaide roofs are. North-facing is ideal, but east and west roofs work well too, especially if you use a lot of power in the morning or late afternoon. Shade, roof condition and space matter more than direction. We check all of that before we quote.
Why can't I send all my solar back to the grid?
In South Australia, SA Power Networks sets how much solar each home can export. Most new systems can use Flexible Exports, which allows up to 10kW per phase when the local network has room, and drops back when it’s busy. We set this up for you and explain what it means for your system.
Will my solar work in a blackout?
Not on its own. Standard solar systems switch off during a blackout so they don’t send power into the lines while crews are working on them. If you want power during an outage, you need a battery set up for backup. Ask us and we’ll explain the options.
How long do solar panels last?
Quality panels usually come with a 25-year performance warranty and keep working well beyond that. Inverters typically carry 5 to 10 years of manufacturer warranty. On top of the product warranties, all our work comes with our 10-year workmanship guarantee.
Do solar panels need maintenance?
Very little. Rain does most of the cleaning, and there are no moving parts. Your monitoring app shows how the system is performing, so if output drops unexpectedly, give us a call and we’ll take a look.
